Adrian Cheng is the visionary cultural entrepreneur behind New World Group and Chow Tai Fook. Actively promoting the development of the holistic art ecosystem in China, Adrian is the new generation representing the contemporary Chinese art scene.
Adrian is the fashionista driving the expansion of the Luxba Group, the fashion management arm under Chow Tai Fook Enterprise, in China. Currently Luxba is principally managing four brands, including Moschino, Love Moschino, Red Valentino and also Dsquared2. The cultural entrepreneur is also the Honorary Vice-chairman of and Chief Strategic Advisor to Modern Media Group, China's leading media enterprise that publishes international titles including Bloomberg Businessweek (China), Modern Weekly, City Magazine, Numéro, The Art Newspaper China, LEAP and more. Modern Media Group became the majority stakeholder of the digital video channel NOWNESS in May 2017, of which Adrian is the Vice Chairman and Creative Advisor.
Adrian is ranked among the ArtReview Power 100 list for three consecutive years since 2014, and reached #54 in 2016, as one of the contemporary art world’s most powerful figures and collectors, and is described by the esteemed publication as “one of the kingpins” in Hong Kong’s art scene. He is also Board Member of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority and member of the Interim Acquisition and M+ Museum Committees, Board Director of the National Museum of China Foundation, Director of CAFAM Funds of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Trustee of Royal Academy of Arts, Visiting Committee of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Member of TATE International Council and Member of International Circle of Centre Pompidou. In 2013, Adrian spearheaded a new collaboration with Central Saint Martins (CSM) College of Art and Design in the United Kingdom, setting up an annual Masters of Art Degree full scholarship programme to help students from Hong Kong and Mainland China to study at CSM.
Mr. Clive Ng is a media sector financier with over 20 years of strategic and management experience in the Asia markets. Mr. Ng was CEO of Pacific Media (LSE: PCM) where he was instrumental in securing joint venture partnerships between Pacific Media and United Artists Theatres, renamed Regal Entertainment Group (NYSE: RGC), and Television Broadcasts (TVB) or Hong Kong.
He was Co-CEO of United International Holdings Asia, a partnership between UIH Inc. (since renamed Liberty Global Inc., NASDAQ: LBTYA), a leading international cable operator, and was responsible for its entrance into the Asian market with his family taking a 20 percent stake in the venture.In 1992, Mr. Ng co-founded TVB Superchannel Europe, which has grown to become Europe’s leading Chinese language broadcaster. He also owned a 50% stake in Hong Kong SuperNet, the first Hong Kong based ISP which was then sold to Pacific Internet (NASDAQ: PCNTF).
Mr. Ng has had extensive experience with internet start-ups and e-commerce companies in Asia. He served as Chairman and Founder of Asiacontent, (NASDAQ: IASIA), one of the first Asian internet companies to list in the US that was the joint venture partner of NBCi, MTVi, C-NET, CBS Sportsline and DoubleClick in Asia. Mr. Ng was also one of the initial investors and founder of E*TRADE Asia, a partnership with E*TRADE Financial Corp (NYSE: ET). He is also a founding shareholder of MTV Japan, with H&Q Asia Pacific and MTV Networks (a division of Viacom Inc).
